HELP US RESTORE AND MAINTAIN ST. JAMES
Our church building was finished in 1860 and has been a landmark in Sonora since then.
It is also a California Historical Landmark. Because of this status repairs and restoration to the main church building must be made with materials comparable to the original structure, as well as maintaining the original architectural style.
We have leaks in the roof, the outer casing of the steeple is starting to fall away, there is electrical work needed, and a whole host of smaller projects.
Our parish hall also needs electrical work, a new stove hood (being done with money from a loan we must repay), and the patio roof is badly rotted.
The building has been is continuous use as a church since 1860. Please help us maintain this historic landmark for the future. Please donate using the button to the left, or send a check marked Repair and Restoration to as at the address below the donation button.
Thank You!
